B turned 39 last week, and I wanted to make sure that he had a great day. He has been such a great dad, and really sacrificed much of his free time this past year. I was able to get the day off, so we had a great family day that started at the zoo. We had just gotten season passes after we realized how much little S loves animals. Anything that se sees with legs, she loves!
We took her to the petting zoo, and as soon as we opened the gate and she saw the goats, she shrieked and run straight to them!
My sister agreed to babysit for the night so that B and I could have an adult dinner alone. Even though she was so excited to babysit her for the first time on her own, she was a little nervous at the same time. Luckily, little S had a great time with Auntie!
It was the third time we had a meal out with just the two of us. We tried a a spot I had heard of but never tried, Brooklyn Girl. It was the perfect place to unwind, enjoy a cocktail and some conversation. Surprisingly, the conversation never led to talking about out little one. As much as we adore her, it was really refreshing to talk about other things. The server was really nice and the overall experience with just great! The place to vibrant and lively, the oysters were fresh and reminded me of the ocean. The food was wonderful right down to the chocolate chip bread pudding for dessert.
