new cookbook on the shelf

I’m very excited for my new addition to my cookbook library, Cook’s Illustrated Cookbook:  2,000 Recipes from 20 Years of America’s Most Trusted Food Magazine.  It’s a collection of the pain-staking tested recipes featured in the magazine of the same namesake.  I’ve made some of their recipes I had from the recent subscription I had to the online site and year’s magazine subscription included last year’s Thanksgiving turkey which was a hit!  Looking forward for many more delicious meals thanks to Cook’s Illustrated.

babies on the mind

Our friends C&T just welcomed a little baby girl into their lives last month.  She is absolutely adorable.  Her birth announcement had one of the cutest baby photos I’ve seen!  I was searching for a baby gift on their registry an saw this little guy, and I couldn’t resist!  At least I know what it is unlike several items on her registry list!

It’s a huggable pacifier!  I thought it was so cute I almost bought another one for my friend who is just about 17 weeks pregnant.  I think I’ll wait a little longer.  I’ll see how little M likes this one first, and I may add this to my baby shower gift list.  With so many girls I know how are expecting, this may come in handy.
